An especially big full moon tonight.

I was driving into Hereford tonight to do a "big" Pre Bah Humbug Season (PBHS) (known to us as Yule), supermarket shop for loo rolls and tinned stuff and flour and beer and such like..and as I went up over past
The Wonder, up and over the Marcle Ridge, I saw the Full Moon break through the clouds briefly.
I knew tonight's full moon potentially could be a spectacular sight so I stopped and took a picture.

But it isn't very good I am afraid.

Ah well, *I* saw the Moon in her shining, full, closer than usual, splendour, even if I *didn't* capture it to show to you....

So you will just have to use your imagination I am afraid....

BUT I DID get from the evil super more of the flip top beer bottles, full of proper lager, which I can reuse for beer or elderflower champagne making! The price of these to buy means they are a really good deal to get with lager inside!

Have drunk the contents of a bottle tonight...well I NEED to empty it in order to wash it and dry it and store it away, don't I? ;-)

Colours of Autumn

Some random photographs from my garden over the last few days, as I wandered around looking and smelling and enjoying a lovely sunny afternoon, watching the leaves fall to the ground ( heh heh I shall have those soon for leaf mould...)

and generally having a " just being" moment...well as much as one can, along with 2 cats and 6 chickens, of course!

(Just a note about my photos....dear friends, I do NOT know why all my photos are now huge! I am doing the same as I always have done, nothing has changed at my end BUT now the photos all come out BIG...and sorry but unless I resize every single one first before publishing them I can't seem to fix it......I am not trying to make you look at my pictues in huge detail, honestly! I shall ask Blogger why this is now happening to me and see what the reply is.....Annoyingly although they are huge, a bit is cropped off the sides so to see the whole photo you STILL need to click on it.......( bangs head on the table.....) )

A beautiful sunset and moonrise.

Last week we hosted a Compost Seminar at Compostgirl's school for Teachers to be trained in composting and wormery ownership. (a post about it is in preparation...to come soon...) I was helping set up , and did a talk on composting and school gardening and how to integrate it in to the curriculum, and by the time I finished helping to pack up and clear up at school it was very late and I wanted to get home!

I was about to get in my car when I spotted the violet and scarlet streaks of this sunset, so I waited and walked up the school field to the brow, to get a better view. As a result of waiting I was priviliged to experience and photograph the MOST FABULOUS sunset!










And then later Moonrise over the wood.
