Hello and welcome to The Compost Bin. I'm Compostwoman and I live with my family in rural Herefordshire. We have nearly four acres of garden and woodland, all managed organically and to Permaculture principles, which we share with Chickens, Cats and assorted wildlife. We also grow a lot of our own food, run courses in all sorts of things and make a lot of compost!

I am a Master Composter and have spent more than a decade as a volunteer Community Compost adviser with Garden Organic and my local Council.
I'm a self employed Environmental Educator so I run workshops and events where I talk about compost, veg growing, chicken keeping, cooking, preserving and sustainable living. I also run crafts workshops and Forest School/outdoor play sessions in our wood.

We try to live a more self sufficient lifestyle here, as best we can, while still having a comfortable life and lots of fun.

Free seeds!

Right, lovely friends, I've sorted through my veg seed stash and I've got surplus seeds.

Some are past their "use by" date (lol) but all are new and sealed up.

There are cut and come again lettuces x 5, mizuna, rocket, beetroot x 2, chard, kale, basil, sage, dill, coriander x 2, radish, spring onion.
I might also have some spare loose tomato, pepper, climbing french beans, courgette, pumpkin, marrow, cauliflower, sprout, cabbage, kales, parsnip, turnip seeds if anyone's really desperate for them, not in a shop packet though!

If you message me with what you need (either a packet on offer, or type and a rough number of loose seeds) I'll give you my address and you can send me a sae and I will post some seeds to you.

Anyway, anyone need some seeds? First come, first served, and for those who want to grow food please.

(friends who were on the INEBG forum Jennie Craine, Fi Sharp, Salena Walker, Brigit Strawbridge Howard Bronwen ,Carol Hunt, Anne Christine, Portia Hussey, Jo Barlow may remember our epic seed swap lists from this time of year!)
