Hello and welcome to The Compost Bin. I'm Compostwoman and I live with my family in rural Herefordshire. We have nearly four acres of garden and woodland, all managed organically and to Permaculture principles, which we share with Chickens, Cats and assorted wildlife. We also grow a lot of our own food, run courses in all sorts of things and make a lot of compost!
I am a Master Composter and have spent more than a decade as a volunteer Community Compost adviser with Garden Organic and my local Council.
I'm a self employed Environmental Educator so I run workshops and events where I talk about compost, veg growing, chicken keeping, cooking, preserving and sustainable living. I also run crafts workshops and Forest School/outdoor play sessions in our wood.
We try to live a more self sufficient lifestyle here, as best we can, while still having a comfortable life and lots of fun.

Problems with Blogger
and I am deep in the throes of Forest School Portfolio writing. It is really interesting to do and I am enjoying it a lot ( even if I do keep on being sidetracked by interesting research I come across)...BUT I have a DEADLINE to work to....so I MUST crack on.
Normal service WILL be resumed asap, but rest assured chickens, cats, polytunnel, people are all well, if a bit fraught, here at Compost Mansions!
:-))
I don't know if you are having the same blogger problems as me. I always write my post in Word and paste it into Blogger. That worked fine until a few months ago then it started to screw up and forever give me HTML errors. The way I found round it is to past the Word stuff into the HTML tab, then go to the compose tab and put paragraph spacing and the like back.
ReplyDeleteI also have problems with formatting the last paragraph so now paste in a dummy line that I can delete if Blogger messes up.
Sometimes though Blogger shows the formatting I apply in the compose screen but two different ones on the posted screen - not found out how to deal with that one yet; I usually give up and post anyway.
Oh and with the HTML errors I've also found that just deleting the highlighted bit and re-posting repeatedly usually works too. I think all the errors started occurring after the last major update to Blogger back in November. As an ex programmer all I can say is they should keep it simple! :-D
Sorry it's such a long comment, I'm so glad I finally got round to you blog - I read your intro on SGF but have enjoyed your comments on Stoney's blog too.
