Hello and welcome to The Compost Bin. I'm Compostwoman and I live with my family in rural Herefordshire. We have nearly four acres of garden and woodland, all managed organically and to Permaculture principles, which we share with Chickens, Cats and assorted wildlife. We also grow a lot of our own food, run courses in all sorts of things and make a lot of compost!

I am a Master Composter and have spent more than a decade as a volunteer Community Compost adviser with Garden Organic and my local Council.
I'm a self employed Environmental Educator so I run workshops and events where I talk about compost, veg growing, chicken keeping, cooking, preserving and sustainable living. I also run crafts workshops and Forest School/outdoor play sessions in our wood.

We try to live a more self sufficient lifestyle here, as best we can, while still having a comfortable life and lots of fun.

Thank you lovely blog friends!

THANK YOU!

To Aromatic for her wonderful e-"get well soon" card, which also solved my big problem of having missed the posting date for a birthday card for another dear friend...I signed up to the wonderful e card site Aromatic used, and sent my friend an e card, well in time for her special day...

and to another friend who made my day with a phone call..she had heard via someone who reads my blog that I was poorly, so she called especially to have a chat....

and another blog friend PM'd me on the INEBG forum, to ask how I was...

I feel very loved, and if it CAN make a difference to my recovery time, I am SURE it will

so THANK YOU lovely blog friends one and all.....

Consider yourselves hugged with a VERY big compost-y hug!

and I wish I could have you ALL round for tea, cakes, chutney, wine and cider!

  4. Nah, I was quite clean at the time so it was only a bit dirty compost!

I didn't go back to the GP...as I have been informed that all this is normal ....so I have just been resting and using LOTS of essential oils and herbal teas to help..and SLEEPING vast amounts...its amazing how much sleep I have been getting here and there...

    I obviously needed it..

I am hopefully doing a First Aid a t work course next week...and really hope I am well enough as I fund it myself...as part of being a well prepared eco person who does stuff outdoors with children...I already have several "outdoors" paediatric first aid quals BUT have decided I need the full blown FAW cert to help me be a better Forest School Leader and general Environmental Educator person...

so fingers crossed I am ok by next Wednesday.....

Off to have a glass of home made cider and retire to bed now...

    night lovely folks!
