I am SO lucky to live here! I sit in the study and work at my computer, Compostman has a desk next to me and we work on our respective stuff in companionable silence. AND we can look out over the gloriousness of the Herefordshire landscape.
This weekend we have seen some astonishing sunsets, truly spectacular. I honestly do not think I have seen such pink skies for many years, not since Mt Pinatubo volcano errupted, a long time ago.
I DO worry, though, that there are so many con trails in the dusk sky. All those aeroplanes contributing to Global Warming. :-((
What absolutely gorgeous views.... what a lovely setting to be sat at your desk working and looking up over that countryside.. so beautiful and that sunset was spectacular!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about the plane pollution.. we have many planes go overhead and often noticing those vapor trails... and it does worry you about the long term affects...

Oh to be back in the shire! You are very, very lucky.

I'd love to have views like that from my windows. We've been having really lovely red skies here too lately.
ReplyDeleteTotally unrelated to your post, but does chicken poo count as a green or a brown in my composter? If it's mostly full of chicken poo and newspaper is it going to do anything?
Hello lovely peeps!
ReplyDeleteWPT..chicken poo is a super green! so a mix of newspaper ( high carbon...brown) and poo is great! make sure you wet it though, and leave it to mature, as animal poo needs a good few months to mature and lose any harmful pathogens in the composting process
..but it will be good stuff!
Thanks for that. So if I get another compost bin, it won't matter if it's nearly all chicken poo and newspaper. Just got to figure out where to put another compost bin.
